I'm presenting a power point today on FEMA and their pr efforts since Hurricane Katrina hit the lower eastern sea board. When you hear FEMA what do you think? At first I heard, FEMA did a horrible job in pr and even in their relief efforts, they just didn't do a good job all around.
Their pr efforts might be very late for anyone's mind to change about them but they seem to be trying to get back on the horse.
FEMA is now in the social networking ring. They have taken to Facebook, YouTube, Twitter and a couple more sites. Their messages are still unclear on what they want to do, and you can't just keep shoving money into something that needs fixing eventually that money needs to go elsewhere and to specifics. I would like to see more personal stories of families and lost homes that are being rebuilt or schools that are opening up again.
I would love to work for FEMA just because I know that I can make these changes. What do you think? Have they been doing better? Or have they been keeping out of the lime light? Maybe both.
